BoxVolume is a free tool that solves a surprisingly tricky problem: figuring out how to fit items into boxes efficiently. Under the hood, BoxVolume runs the EB-AFIT algorithm, a layer-based heuristic developed at the Air Force Institute of Technology. It tests multiple orientations and placements to find an efficient packing arrangement, then renders the result in interactive 3D so you can see the layout from every angle.
